The 41st Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (APAO) Congress
The 41st APAO 2026 Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology Congress, an internationally renowned ophthalmology event, was held in February at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. With the support and sponsorship of the organizers, the Eye Care Charity Foundation was honored to set up a charity sales booth to raise funds. Through the booth exhibition, we also introduced the Foundation’s various initiatives, services, and assistance programs, spreading our message to a wider audience.
This charity sale at the APAO 2026 Congress was a meaningful milestone for the Eye Care Charity Foundation. Establishing a booth at such a prestigious international ophthalmology event not only helped raise funds to support the Foundation’s operations and development, but also promoted our work and assistance programs to a broader community, encouraging more people to learn about and participate in our mission.
A special highlight of the event was the donation of panda cookies by Hong Kong Wing Wah Cake Shop. This thoughtful gesture not only enhanced the appeal of the charity sale but also demonstrated the goodwill and support from different sectors of society. Other charity sale products, such as the Foundation’s logo towel set, red packets, and multifunctional charging cable organizers, combined practicality with commemorative value, allowing supporters to carry the spirit of the Foundation into their daily lives.
Such events are not only about fundraising but also about building social connections—ensuring that the stories behind the donations and the mission of the Foundation are seen, heard, and recognized by more people.
